Weekly Radar Report
Somehow it’s mid-April already, and spring days are quickly fading into summer! Here are a few events that should be on your radar for this week:
Monday, April 18 – The Jitterbug Vipers bring their jazzy, toe-tapping tunes to the Highball. Time to get rid of a case of the Mondays on the dancefloor!
Wednesday, April 20 – Come out for an Earth Day Austin Celebration at the Triangle from 4 – 8 pm, coordinated by Austin Green Art and hosted by SFC Farmers’ Market.
Thursday, April 21 – KGSR presents Unplugged at the Grove with blues artist and Houston native, Carolyn Wonderland. Get there early to grab a seat!
Saturday, April 23 – Austin Women’s Clothing Swap, noon – 6 pm. Do a little spring cleaning of your closet, skip the shopping and head to The DAC – 1401 Bouldin Ave to find items to swap. Bring a shopping bag and a $5-$10 donation to benefit the The Women Rising Project and Discover Hope Fund.
Sunday, April 24 – Been stuck in traffic on the Congress bridge lately? You’ve probably seen those folks standing on long boards paddling along on the water below. Try it FREE every Sunday morning beginning at 10 am in Austin with the Stand Up Paddle meetup group. Boards are provided and instructors will guide beginners through this exhilarating experience.
Plus, don’t forget to mark your calendars – Eeyore’s birthday party is back again on Saturday, April 30 at Pease Park. It’s number 48 for our old friend, so be there or be square!
What are you planning to attend this week?
