Five Things We Love This Week

Thursdays are rough. The weekend is so close but so far away. So to lift our work-weary spirits, we’re going to be listing five things we love each week, which could be an awesome cocktail, a TV show, a movie, a song, a book, a cupcake or anything that makes our hearts happy. Since SXSWi ended this week, perhaps it’s no surprise that all our picks this week come from the great world wide web. We hope you enjoy them too, and please share your favorite things with us in the comments. Oh, and happy St. Patrick’s Day!

1) Like everyone else, we’re obsessed with Adele right now, and in particular, the gut-wrenchingly beautiful “Someone Like You” off her album 21.

2) Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were in town last week promoting their new flick Paul at SXSW (see header photo with a Longhorn-lovin’ Nick Frost inside the Paramount), and even though we couldn’t get into the screening, we consoled ourselves with their lovely little ode to Star Wars. Seriously, how adorable are Simon Pegg’s sound effects?

3) Weardrobe.com: This online portal has even more eye candy than the mystical wardrobe that transported C.S. Lewis’ characters into the fabled Narnia. Style bloggers across the Internet post pictures of themselves modeling their favorite threads with links back to their personal style blogs. The site’s featured section highlights posts voted most loved by visitors. Should you yearn for a similarly adorable outfit, check out the handy links on each post to lookalike looks that you can buy online with just a few clicks of your mouse. Or simply get in a little window shopping in order to find inspiration for new outfit combinations from your existing wardrobe.

4) Super Mario Bros. re-imagined in the style of Grand Theft Auto. Pure awesomeness.

5) Who knew Jennifer Aniston was so funny and so game? We didn’t.
